Step out of your comfort zone and add some colourwork to your socks. The easiest option is knitting stripes. The next step would be breaking up the stripes by slipping some stitches. These slipped stitches bring up the colour from the row below, break the stripe and a colourwork pattern is created! By simply slipping some stitches you can create patterns that look much more complicated than they are.

Socks are worked from toe up with short row heels and a small gusset. Size refers to sock foot circumference. Socks can be worked on double-pointed needles, two circular needles or on other types of needles convenient for the knitter for knitting small circumferences in the round. The pattern uses metric and imperial systems. The mosaic pattern is charted and written out. The pattern has been tech edited and test knitted.

Size medium socks are shown in the photo. The yarns used for the sample:
• MC Laughing Lemur Soft Sock 4 ply, colourway White Speckled; 30 g.
• CC Cascade Yarns Heritage Sock 4 ply; 40 g.

The pattern is fully charted.
The pattern has been tech edited and test knitted.
