Lets' Twist Again Mitts pattern features lovely tiny cables creating motifs. This is a traditional Estonian technique called vikeldamine, an item worked in the technique is called vikeldatud. The mitts are worked in the round. Separate charts/written instructions are given for the right hand, left hand and thumbs. The Diamond pattern is charted and written.

Size
Circumference of hand (at the widest part, below the knuckles):
• S 17 cm / 6¾’’
• M 18 cm / 7⅛’’
• L 19 cm / 7½’’
Circumference of a mitt after washing:
• S unstretched 12 cm / 4¾’’, stretches to 18 cm / 7⅛’’
• M unstretched 13 cm / 5¼’’, stretches to 19 cm / 7½’’
• L unstretched 14 cm / 5½’’ , stretches to 20 cm / 7⅞’’

Length (adjustable to fit): 
• Laid flat 20 cm / 8’’
• Worn 19 cm / 7½’’

Gauge
22 stitches x 20.5 rows = 5 x 5 cm / 2” x 2”
in 1x1 rib, after washing 

Yarn

Sport / 5 ply, 170 m / 186 yd
Sample (size M) was knit in Merino Baby by Katia, grey # 70, one ball, 50 g / 1.76 oz., 165 m / 180 yds.

Needles
Needles 2.5 mm / 1½ US, or size to get gauge. Double pointed or circular needles can be used,  depending on your preferred method of knitting small circumference in the round.
