The Rubellite is an asymmetrical triangular shawl worked sideways on the bias from one point to the opposite side of the triangle. The mosaic might look intricate but fear not; it is fun and easy to make.

The shawl is worked in one piece in a mosaic garter stitch, knitting back and forth in rows. Four colours were used for the sample. The shawl can be worked just in two colours or any number of colours.
The yarn weight and gauge is not crucial but will affect finished dimensions and yarn requirements.

Suggested yarn:
Sandnes Garn Peer Gynt
Filatura Di Crosa Zara
Malabrigo Yarn Silky Merino
Garnstudio DROPS Merino Extra Fine
Cascade Yarns ® Ultra Pima

Yarn weight DK / 8 ply (11 wpi)
Yardage 720 - 1240 yards (658 - 1134 m)

Gauge
17 stitches and 34 rows = 10 cm in mosaic pattern after blocking

Needle size
US 6 - 4.0 mm

Sizes available S, M, L (see schematic in photos)
