Tiny nordic country Estonia has a rich heritage of national costumes. The colours and patterns vary widely from parish to parish. The Urvaste blanket pattern was inspired by woven belts from Urvaste parish.

The blanket is worked in one piece in a mosaic garter stitch. The size of the blanket is easily adjustable by making more or fewer repeats. The charts are also given in reverted colours for ease of use in case you decide to swap the light and dark colours in your blanket.
