The Gloriosa is an asymmetrical triangular shawl worked sideways on the bias from one point to the opposite side of the triangle. The pattern draws inspiration from mystical flowers.

A variety of techniques are featured in the shawl, from garter stitch, to mosaic and lace.

The shawl is worked in one piece in a mosaic garter stitch, knitting back and forth in rows. The yarn weight and gauge are not crucial but will affect finished dimensions and yarn requirements. The sample was worked using 3 mm / US 2½ needles throughout. However, smaller needles can be used for working the lace pattern.

The charts are also given in reversed colours (pages 8 - 9) for ease of use in case you decide to swap the light and dark colours in your shawl.

The pattern is available in English and Spanish.
