Silver Rhombi is the fourth pattern of the Sock Doodles Ebook. Sock Doodles were born doodling with slipped stitches and leftover yarn. Sock Doodles Ebook contains four mosaic knit sock patterns: Doodles, Scribbles, Hearty Steps and Silver Rhombi Socks. One extra chart is added in Doodles pattern and two extra charts in Silver Rhombi pattern. Extra charts are available just as part of the Ebook, not included in single patterns.
All doodlers have a few enjoyable and pleasing patterns they return to again and again, just because they like them. For the fourth pattern, I came back to rhombus as in the first pattern, Doodles. Rhombi are easy to draw, still, each of them has their own personality.
Mosaic knitting is one of the easiest colourwork techniques. The mosaic pattern knits up using just one of the yarns at a time. Work two rounds in one colour, then two rounds in another colour. The remaining yarn is left hanging at the beginning of the round. Knitting involves slipping the stitches in a round that should be the “other” colour.
Socks are worked from toe up with short row heels and a small gusset. Size refers to sock foot circumference. Socks can be worked on double-pointed needles, two circular needles or on other types of needles convenient for the knitter for knitting small circumferences in the round.
The pattern uses metric and imperial systems.
The pattern is charted.
